A Master’s in Accounting

I just noticed our blog’s inclusion in www.mastersinaccounting.info.  This site is full of interesting and relevant information for students considering a Masters Degree in Accounting.

One of the most rewarding parts of my day job (teaching accounting and administering our Department here at Seton Hall) has been recruiting graduate students and helping them to recruit into the accounting profession.  Many of these students have liberal arts degrees.  Many also come from finance, and some have been working full-time in other areas.  We also have helped many moms who are preparing to return to the workforce.

I especially appreciate www.mastersinaccounting.info‘s recognition of The University of Texas at Austin, as the top graduate accounting program in the nation.  I attended there from 1992-1997.

Shameless plug:

Students wishing to find a top-notch graduate program in Northern New Jersey need go no farther than Seton Hall University.  More than half of our accounting professors hold PhD’s from top ten accounting programs.  We are also the only AACSB Accounting-accredited program in Northern New Jersey.  Our program recruits into the major Accounting firms in the New York/New Jersey area.  We are small and I like to think that we take good care of our students.
